Portable blackout blind

Instructions for installation

Before application clean both window and suction cups with soap and water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
Best results are obtained when suction cups are placed onto the window at room temperature.

To alter the size of your *nomadic star blackout blind attach the hook and loop fasteners to each other until the desired size is obtained.
With a damp cloth or finger apply a thin layer of water to the surface of the suction cup.
Place the suction cups onto the window and press firmly onto the glass for a few seconds. This will release the air and create a vacuum seal.
To remove suction cups carefully release suction from one side of the cup by pulling the tab. Pulling at the material may result in damage to the glass and the blind.
If suction cups become misshapen and won’t stick, place in a bowl of warm water for 2-3 minutes.
Your *nomadic star blackout blind is designed for overnight use and daytime napping. However if you would like to use your blind for longer periods we would recommend to press on the suction cups each night to maintain the vacuum seal and (if required) use the additional frame fasteners provided. Simply stick the additional hook and loop fasteners to the window frame and attach to the corresponding unused squares on the blind.

Installation instructions

Please note, placing frame fasteners on the window or window frame may leave a slight residue when removed. This can be removed with silicon sealant remover, available from most DIY shops.

Sticking frame fasteners to unsecure or recently decorated paintwork may result in paint removal.

To prolong the use of suction cups do not leave in direct sunlight when not in use.

Safety instruction

Please store safely away from children when not in use.
Suction cups and hook and loop patches should be removed with care to avoid damage to the blind and window.
Do not use in direct sun for prolonged periods without opening the window behind the blind to let heat escape. This will avoid potential damage to windows and suction cups.

If used for small children please do not place directly over the bed, or where small children may pull it down as window breakage or suction cups could pose a safety hazard.
